A well-known novelist, poet and educationist Late Babasaheb K. Narkhede, along with his colleagues Late Appasaheb G. K. Patil, Late Rambhau Hambardikar, Late T. S. Zope Guruji and late Pandharishet Bhangale established Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Bhusaval in 1960. The main object was to impart quality education to the poor section of society in Bhusaval town and the neighbourhood. They initiated by starting a primary school named, 'Apli Shala' meaning our school. Within a very short period it became so famous that every year the admission to the school was closed within a short period. Gradually the management was compelled to increase the branches of primary school and they started a high school named 'K. Narkhede Vidalia from 1962. This also, within a short period, became very popular in the whole Jalgaon district and the surrounding area.
In 2002, The President, Late. N. K. Narkhede, Vice - President Late V.S.Patil, the Chairman Late P. R. Patil, and all the member of the members of management started the K. Narkhede College of Science, Bhusaval. It is affiliated to the KBC North Maharashtra University Jalgaon. Initially only computer education up to graduate level was imparted. In 2009, M.Sc. (computer science) was introduced and in 2010.In 2022 M.Sc Organic chemistry was introduced general B.Sc. courses like Biochemistry, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology were introduced. In B.C.A is introduced in 2023.A small sapling sown in 1960 has grown in to a big banyan tree. The institute now runs Pre- Primary and one primary school, with four branches, one English medium school, a well reputed High School, Higher Secondary School and a Senior College.
Now the president Dr. Shri. Makarand N. Narkhede, Vice-President Dr. Shri Kishor N. Narkhede, the chairman Shri. Shrinivas N. Narkhede, Secretary P.V.Patil and all the members of management are running all these institutes efficiently and are sincerely trying to impart quality education.
